That money can pay off the mortgage, replace years of income or help pay for college.

Term vs permanent
We go over both with you before you choose.
Term life
You pick a length of time, like until the kids are grown or the mortgage is paid off. If you pass away during that time, the people you name receive the payout, subject to the policy’s terms and exclusions. When the term ends, so does the coverage.

Who needs it
If someone counts on your income, talk to us about coverage. If no one does yet, look again when you marry, have a baby or buy a home.
If your paycheck stopped, a payout can help pay household bills while the kids grow up.
A payout can help pay off the mortgage, so your family can stay in the home.
If your family would struggle to replace one paycheck, or the childcare and housework a stay-at-home parent does, a payout can help pay for it.
A payout can help your family or a partner keep the business running, or pay off what it owes.

Maybe not. Coverage through work can end when you leave the job, and the amount may not cover what your family would need. Send us your benefits summary and we’ll look at it with you.
Who receives the money? The people you name, called beneficiaries. You can name a spouse, a partner, your kids or others, and you can name more than one. We’ll help you fill that part in, and you can call our office if you want to change it later.
What if my budget is tight?Tell us what you’re comfortable spending each month. We’ll show you what that can cover, and you can revisit it when your budget or your family changes.
Will I need a medical exam?It depends on the policy, the amount of coverage, your age and your health. Some policies ask health questions, and some include an exam. We’ll tell you what to expect before you apply.
How long does a term life policy last? You choose the length when you apply, from the terms available to you. You might match it to the years your family relies on your income, like until the kids are grown or the mortgage is paid off. Options are subject to eligibility and availability, and we’ll go over them with you in English or español.
