Your closing packet
Your lender needs proof of homeowners insurance before you close.
Send your closing date early, so there’s time to go over your coverage and check your lender’s clause details.
Under contract on a house or condo anywhere in Arizona, from Chandler and Gilbert to Phoenix and Scottsdale.
A new loan can mean a new lender on your policy. If your homeowners policy is with our office, we update the mortgagee clause and send proof to the new lender.

Before you close
Three details to start: the property address, your closing date and your lender’s clause details. With these, we can start your quote, and once coverage is in place we send proof to your lender. Missing one? Send what you have, and we’ll help you find the rest.
Your lender’s insurance requirements are usually in your closing paperwork or an email from your loan officer. Email us a photo of them if that’s easier.

Homeowners insurance
The home you’re buying or refinancing. The year it was built and the roof’s age and material help too.
Coverage usually starts the day you close, so your binder shows the date your lender expects.
Your lender’s name as it should read on the policy (often followed by ISAOA/ATIMA), their insurance mailing address and your loan number.
Also handy: your current auto policy, if you’d like one local agent for the car and the new home.
For loan officers & processors
We work with a large network of mortgage lenders. Email or call with your borrower’s name and number, the property address, the closing date and the mortgagee clause.
How it works
Send your ZIP through the form, or email us the property address, your closing date and your lender’s details.
We go over the dwelling limit, the deductible and the roof with you by phone, by email or at our office.
Pick your coverage. We send the binder and declarations page to your loan officer, processor or escrow officer once coverage is in place.
Call or email us with it, plus the property address and your lender’s name.

As soon as you’re under contract. Your lender will want proof of insurance before closing, and starting early leaves time to go over your coverage and check your lender’s clause details. Coverage usually starts on your closing date.
What’s the difference between a binder and a declarations page?A binder is temporary proof that your coverage is in place until the policy is issued. The declarations page summarizes the policy itself: who’s insured, the address, your coverages, limits and deductibles, and your lender. Lenders often ask for one or both, and we can send either.
What is a mortgagee clause, and what does ISAOA/ATIMA mean? The mortgagee clause names your lender on your homeowners policy, because the lender has a financial interest in the home. ISAOA/ATIMA stands for “its successors and/or assigns, as their interests may appear,” which keeps the clause correct if your loan is sold. Your loan officer or processor can send the exact wording.
I’m a loan officer. How do I send you a borrower?Email ronaldballard@allstate.com or call (480) 545-8877 with your borrower’s name and mobile number, the property address, the closing date and the mortgagee clause with the loan number. We’ll reach out to your borrower and send the binder and declarations page to you or your processor once coverage is in place.
Can I add my car when I insure the new home?Yes. Pick “Quote my car too” on the form, or just ask when we call, and we’ll review your auto policy at the same time. Our auto + home bundle page explains how combining home and auto works.
I’m refinancing. How do I change the lender on my homeowners policy?Send us the new lender’s name as it should read on the policy, its insurance mailing address and your new loan number. If your homeowners policy is with our office, we update the mortgagee clause and send proof to your new lender or escrow officer. If it’s with another company, ask that company to make the change, or ask us for a quote.
